Graduate Trainee Programme

Sucden has always sought to leverage its expertise and skills across a wide range of markets. As the business grows and expands, we are consistently identifying the need to extend our global reach. This creates a need for people who are able to communicate effectively in a variety of business environments, whilst simultaneously demonstrating a high degree of cultural awareness. The Sucden Graduate Trainee Programme is evidence of this. We believe that our graduates should possess the competencies necessary to make a positive contribution to Sucden's goals, whilst benefiting from being part of a leading financial organisation.

The programme aims to reconcile theory with practice. Not only is there an emphasis on gaining practical work experience amidst the training schedule, but also a focus on continued learning and personal development. Graduates can expect a programme that will equip them with core skills required to make a positive contribution to our business goals.

During the course of the training programme, graduates will have the opportunity to work in a variety of departments to familiarise themselves with our business and markets. Graduates will be able to gain an appreciation of the truly global appeal of Sucden, its diverse culture of people within, as well as the values shaping our organisation and the levels of professionalism we aim for.

The structure of the programme:
The Graduate Trainee Programme is a six month intensive cross-divisional training scheme. Graduates spend a specified amount of time (varying from two to four weeks) within each department, of which there are eight in total. Upon completion of each placement, graduates are asked to fill a form to assess how they feel they have performed within the parameters of their work. Departmental heads are also requested to give their views on how the graduate has managed to handle the tasks set. Feedback, pertaining to the graduate's core competencies, is a key component and forms the bedrock for sustained future personal development.
